Privacy Policy

Pendara ("we", "our", or "us") is a personal finance tracking app built for individuals who want to manage budgets, track expenses, and monitor loans. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights over your data.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the app's features:
- Account information — your name, email address, and (if you use Google Sign-In) your profile photo, provided when you create an account with email and password or via Google Sign-In.
- Financial data — transactions, budgets, account balances, loans, and savings goals that you enter into the app.
- App settings — your currency preference, notification settings, theme preference, and similar configuration choices (stored locally on your device).
We do not collect location data, contact lists, call logs, your device's advertising ID, usage analytics, or any data unrelated to personal finance management.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To sync your financial data across devices via Firebase Cloud Firestore.
- To authenticate you securely via Firebase Authentication (email/password or Google Sign-In).
- To send local push notifications for bill reminders and budget alerts (processed entirely on your device).
The app does not display ads. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal financial data with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) and is protected by:
- Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) on all Firebase connections.
- Firebase Security Rules that ensure only you can access your own data.
- Optional biometric lock within the app to prevent unauthorized access. Biometric data is handled entirely by your device's operating system and is never received by the app.
4. Third-Party Services
Pendara uses the following Google services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase — authentication and data storage
- Google Sign-In — account authentication
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account exists. You can delete all your data at any time directly from within the app: go to Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all associated financial data from our servers.
6. Children's Privacy
Pendara is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — view all financial data you have entered via the app.
- Deletion — permanently delete your account and all data via Profile → Delete Account.
- Portability — export your transaction data as CSV or PDF via the Reports screen.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
